Aveda Institute

Has anyone had color there? Do you know if aveda shampoos have sls or als? I made an appt as they are much cheaper than Devachan. They don't do pintura, rather foils. Does that dry out the hair? ALso, any suggestions re: doing one process versus highlights there? I have been doing highlights to cover the grayat Devachan and while I like hl I haven't been awed by them from d. They aren't real vibrant. At Aveda they are half the price of D, but they use foil and their shampoo. Any comments woudl be appreciated. One process is $40 while highlights there are $75, whichis reasonable. It is with a student but they are supervised and Aveda does make good products.
Hair type, thin, 3b, past my shoulders always looking for length. Use jessicurl hair cleansing cream, devacurl one c, angel, set it free, Always see a deva trained stylist for cut and Aveda Institute for color.
I used to use Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo, and there is no SLS, but there is another sulfate, sodium coco-sulfate, plus a few other chemicals mixed amongst the botanical extracts. It was a pretty harsh shampoo, nonetheless.
