Well I had a bad breakout when I first started CG. But then I realized that it was really just because I was using a new regimen of products compounded by the fact that I was pmsing and eating food/bevs with too much sugar. After a bit, my skin calmed down. Once I got my system down to a simple few products.
I also started clipping my hair up or pineappling for to sleep in even if I wasn't planning on 2nd day hair. I found that keeping my hair off of my face at night really helped to keep the breakouts to a minimum. Plus, I started washing my face morning and night and I use a bit of benzoyl peroxide cream on my face each night in my problem areas, followed up each morning with a good AHA face lotion. But I have cystic acne so this might be too much for normal acne.
Anyway, your products look a-ok to me, although I wonder...Do you use all of them at once? Or is that your entire arsenal of products that you alternatingly use? I only ask because sometimes it's not a single ingred or prod but a combination of a few that may be the culprit.
Cincinnati Ohio>>>Coarse protein sensitive 3a, Jessicurl WDT as a leave in, Biotera gel, White Boots, PW= coffeecurls

hi echokitten,
thanks for the reply normally i sleep with my hair above my head so its just lying on the pillow, i'm not sure if it gets on my face but im going to try your suggestion of keeping it off my face as much as possible.
I do use all those products at once..
Hey I had the same problem as you. It turned out to be the Laureth-23.

Currently: Trying to stop straightening so much. Using Elucence conditioner and whatever works for me.
Skin reactions can be pretty individual.

Your products look CG friendly to me. I could only use the Boots coconut and almond intensive conditioner, though, the others would give me skin irritation. Here are my irritants in your products:

Alll the Benzophenones
Hexyl Cinnamal (maybe)
Linalool (citrus essential oil)
Citronellol (ditto)

Some people have issues with parabens, but those are commonly used in non-CG products so you'd probably already know if that was a problem.

Some products make me breakout on the sides of my face really bad, but I don't know what the ingredients are. I know there are a few Frizz Ease products, like their leave in, that work really well, but make me break out.

Please excuse any typos. For the time being, we are blaming it on my computer.
babywavy, the same thing is happening to me i might stop using the frizz ease gel and see what happens. How long did it take before you saw a difference?

Castella i hope its not the Linalool because thats in all of my products except one
I have the frizz ease gel and it's giving me a rash on my hands in one area. I know it's not other products because I've used them before with no problems.

thanks for the replies everyone! i'll let you know how it goes

sorry to bring up the topic again but could it be my conditioner breaking me out? even though i break out where my hair touches (cheeks) and i rinse all my conditioner out?
I have to check the ingredients in my products religiously because almost everything breaks me out. Here's the list I use:

If I were you, I would not use the gel because of laureth-23 or the conditioner because of glyceryl stearate SE. In fact, glyceryl stearate is a big problem for me because it's in almost all conditioners, it seems.

One thing that has helped me lately is to use a toner after I get out of the shower and while plopping. My problem is more with bacne than cheek acne, but it would be worth a try.
2c who can't seem to find enough moisture! Trying to figure this out once and for all 7 years after going CG!
thankyou soo much allie95. i think i'll change conditioners and see how it goes!
There's also dimethicone in the frizz ease stuff. Silicones always make me break out. In fact, in one case I was using a conditioner that had 'cones, and that's what clued me in to it!

Edited due to a cyberstalker. Sorry, guys.
