Leave-in why?

Some of you may use leave-ins and I have heard good things about it ,but why is it good for curls? I usually use cone free conditioners and I don't rinse out everything. Is it still better when I use a leave-in ? Can someone enlighten me?

The only reason I use a leave-in is bc I've had bad experiences leaving regular conditioner in my hair. Tender, sore spots on my scalp, heavy build up etc. Although, my hair needs lots of moisture I've always feared that I could over condition it. I know your supposed to leave some conditioner in, but I've always rinsed mine completely out. Otherwise, just the thought of it gives me nightmares. For me leave-in conditioner is the icing on the cake. I usually will not have a great hair day without a good leave-in.

I use leave in because I found that regular condish left in was just too heavy for my hair. I still want extra moisture, but without the greasy heavy feeling.

If leaving in your regular conditioner works for you, there is no reason for you to use a leave-in. Some conditioners don't work well left in, and some people's hair gets weighed down by rinse-out conditioners so they need something lighter. If your conditioner is working for you, great! You can save money AND skip a step when doing your hair!

I find it is hard to know how MUCH to rinse to leave the right amount of conditioner in my hair so I just rinse very well and then apply the amount I know I need. Also I like products that help define curls and reduce frizz and I have yet to find a rinse out one that does that. However, I would say like others that whatever works for you then do it!
