Ode to my hair (you add a line)

Posts: n/a
Ode to the hair that sits atop my head,
If you were a person, you’d surely be dead.
I’ve chopped
And plopped
“Never again,” many a times, I’ve said.
While once I did hate you
I now tolerate you
Because you have learned to behave.
I tried and I fried
And sometimes I cried because you persisted to wave,
But now I am glad
And no longer sad
'Cause now it is curls that I crave!
botticelli-ish bob.

Current Routine:
-Suave Aloe & Waterlily cowash/leave-in
-Giovanni Direct Leave-In
-FOTE aloe vera gel

Curly spiral, frizzy wave
tried to get you to behave...
shushed you
brushed you
squashed you flat
Last resort -- A Baseball hat!

Decades later, here we stand
no more flatiron in my hand
all this time , i never knew
that the key to taming you
tame the curl,
the frizz,
the bend...?
was not to fight
But be your friend.

What a mighty brawl its been
first me
then you
neither could win
You're my greatest asset, my greatest joy
my favorite thing to style and toy
But what a fright
You sometimes seem
When i must style, day or night
But you and i, lets reach peace
And all these shenanigans will finally cease
Clutching my manual I bravely march on
Sold my flat iron for $5 on our lawn

Ode to the hair that is so luscious and thick
(Though sometimes the frizz makes me sick)
You've been with me through the thick and thin
Remember when I tamed you with many a bobby pin?
And yet you are always wild and free
But I wonder: Will you marry me?

Okay, so it's pretty lame, but I couldn't think of anything else.
At my wit's end and frustrated
to believe I actually debated
a japanese hair straightening system
to end being such a bad hair victim

I would look at my two sisters' perfect silky-straight hair
with feelings of envy and despair
Why couldn't you lie shiny, perfect, and straight?
I used to look at you in the mirror with eyes full of hate

It was fate that led me to this site
And brought about an end to our fight

I can't help but be thankful for all the information that helped me save
every inch of my wonderful waves
