Check out this aloe-flax seed gel!

I'm really liking this stuff! I tried the medium hold for several days. I LOVE the way it distributes--more like a lotion than a gel, really. And NOT sticky on the hands.

Lately, this is the only styler I've been using, because I want to see what it does on its own.

Today (one day after color), I tried the ultra-hold for the first time. I didn't get any crunch, but maybe that's because I pixie-diffused for the last few minutes of my air-drying phase. I used quite a bit of it too.. (Maybe I just had a lot of conditioner in my hair?)

I'm going to keep experimenting with it--mixing it with some Mop-C curl creme for example...see how it works in combo with other products.

It rinses out well, holds well without the crunch...

What I really like about it is that I feel like I'm putting something GOOD on my hair, something mild, ingredient-wise, that gives pretty decent hold and curl definition.

I also have some (generous) samples of various lotions (face/body), foaming soap, etc. from her and I have to say, she has great customer service. She is trying to get together a new conditioner that us "curlies" can use. I sent her a link on the ingredients that we avoid and hopefully she can come up with something. I think it's really sweet of her to go through all the trouble. I also like that her products are natural. Don't hesitate to give her a call if you want samples of any products, she is more than happy to accomodate.

Just wanted to update here with Jan's new products. She has a new line of "Green" shampoo and conditioner, sulfate and cone free. She also has her leave in conditioner/detangler. I use the leave in and have for several months now and it is great! It kind of looks like milk, not too heavy or greasy. I highly recommend it. I als have used the "green" shampoo and I really like it for the occasional low-poo. My hair felt clean and not stripped. I have not tried the conditioner because I'm waiting to finish the other two bottles of conditioners currently opened. Here is the link.

Okay I know most of you don't like crunchy but I want to know just how the ultra holding it is? Also what is BRHG? I don't get some of the abbreviations on here yet (newbie!) Thanks

This gel dries crunchy on holds my hair all day. It's definitely not a "rock" hard holding gel, but it does leave your hair crunchy. For a "natural" gel it holds great...I would compare it to a store bought gel that has medium to hard hold gel.I like it better than the regular one, which works fine. I've actually mixed the two together and gotten good results. This is my opinion anyway.
