Hair 911!!
:angry7: Ugh. So I decided CG is not working after 3 months, and my hair only looking good on a few spotty days as opposed to most of the time.

This morning I tried to straighten it, and omg, my hair FREAKED. It's like it's saying "oh no you DIDN'T!"

So, um, I'm going to the store. I'm going to re-wet my hair and do it curly. Hit me with some good products I can get my hands on at a store, they don't have to be CG, I don't care if they have more cones than a Dairy Queen.

I'm thinking either Redken Fresh curls or Tigi Catwalk Curls Rock.

Oh, and the reason this is such a dire emergency today is because it's my baby's 1st birthday today, and there will be pictures galore. :p

Ohmigosh...I almost died laughing at the "more cones than a Dairy Queen" comment. That is one I'll have to keep in my arsenal. Have you tried just using a shampoo to bounce your hair back? I can't do strict CG and have to use either a low-poo or shampoo every 2-3 days.

As for suggestions. I really liked the L'Oreal Studio curl cream (not sure if it's still available and has dimethicone) followed by L'Oreal Studio Weather or Not Hair Glue. It's really a gel and completely cone free. It's great for curl defining following by a hard hold gel. Just make sure and scrunch out the crunch well.

You could also try Garnier Fructis Curl Cream (I think it's still available, has a cone if it is) followed by Garnier Fructis Bold It! Gel. The gel is also hard holding.

For less hold, Herbal Essences Gels and Mousses are popular. LaBella Lots of Curls has received a lot of hype on here, but it has lots of glycerin and I hated it.

I guess it all depends on what you want, but those are my suggestions.

Yup sounds like someone needs some 'cones!

Have you tried Full Control Mousse by Finesse? It's got dimethiconol and cyclomethicone somewhere towards the end and it works great under a cheapo gel like L.A. Looks.

BTW happy birthday to your baby!

OMG! I laughed out loud at my pc when I read your comment about cones and DQ.. :laughing6:

LOOB is the only drugstore product that I can think of off the top of my head that hasn't already been mentioned.

Good luck! And Happy B'day to baby! :D

I would stay away from the catwalk curls rock. It dries white in your hair. It has a hold/feel thats glue like which is probably why it dries white.

The redken fresh curl has no hold. Honestly KBB would better define your curls than the redken. You can find store products way cheaper that work much better than these 2 products.
