Anyone else have this prob?

I've been doing the curly girl method for a few months now. I love my hair, but I keep having one problem. I get sores on my scalp. They hurt, feel kind of flaky, and they bleed if I accidentally rub too hard when I cleanse my scalp. I didn't have this problem until I started this method.

Could it just be my scalp healing from years of damage done by other products? What else could it be?

It sounds to me like you could be allergic to something in the DevaCurl items.

I'd cut out one item at a time for a while each to see which one is the culprit.

Good luck!

Sounds like an allergic reaction to an ingrediant. It could be the styling products you use that is the problem. It is also possible that you are scratching your scalb to wash your hair with the conditioner.Rubbing your scalb instead can easily wash away the dirt.

I've always gotten places like that related to my seborrheic dermatitis since I was in my teens. Low-pooing and co-washing with Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat products helps me immensely. You might try it at least to help heal yours, if not all the time.
