oh yea, I have thick, 3b, I think, hair. Using Deva one c, arc angell, and ck right now and having good results, still a little frizzie in parts, though.
I say do a DT with the CJ fix and then try some KCCC with ArcAngell. I get really good results from the KCCC/Arc combo

Ditto the condition or DT with the H&B Deep fix, then leave in a leetle bit of One C and then try the Kinky Curly Curling Custard (it's not a cream, it's jelly-like).
