What does hair that doesn't like parabens feel like?

My hair has been really plasticky-feeling and stringy and less curly (as in, several completely straight pieces that used to make big, loose ringlets) lately and the only thing I've changed is using GVP CB as my rinse out, which I noticed has a lot of parabens. Since I realized that I've switched to AOHR but my hair is still having problems. I tried a low-poo with Giovanni 50:50 and it didn't really help.

So, what are the symptoms of paraben intolerance and what should I do to fix this plastic, stringy, straight mess? My signature is up to date with the stuff I'm currently using.
2C, coarse, normally porous (I think?), obscenely thick, protein sensitive

currently using:

co-wash: Suave Naturals Waterfall Mist
rinse out: AOHR
leave in: KCKT
styling: Super-soaker, HESMU, flour-sack towel plop, air dry
Parabens are chemicals usually used in preservatives. I'm not sure that they would coat your hair. The usual issue with parabens is toxicity and allergies. The 2 highlighted -parabens are preservatives.

Water (Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Myristyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Decyl Oleate, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum), Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Hexyl Cinnamal, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Hydrastis Canadensis (Golden Seal) Extract, Fucus Vesiculosus (Bladderwack) Extract, Methyl-2-Octynoate

Perhaps the CB is too rich for your hair. You simply may be over conditioning. Try alternating days with co-wash and water wash for a while and use a lighter rinse out. Also you could try an ACV rinse.
3a/b, very dry, fine/med-coarse, high porosity
