Time: Air-dry vs. Diffusing
How much time do you slice off by diffusing instead of air-drying? Just curious :)

About 4 1/2 hours, and my hair is only chin length.

Not much, and it gives me a lot of frizz. With air drying, my hair is only slightly damp (invisibly so) within half an hour after getting to work and within an hour it's totally dry. So that's about 1.5-1.75 hrs total drying time.

I let my hair air for for 1/2 hour to set curls while I eat my b-fast then I diffuse under 10 minutes. If I air dry only it could take 2 hours or more even with shoulder length thin hair.

It takes absolutely no extra time out of me for my hair to airdry. I let it airdry while I'm doing other things. I would actually have to devote more time if I diffused/blow dry.

Toooooo many hours to count!!
I would have to be on a beach in Florida in order for my hair to dry. It will be wet underneath and at the roots if I don't diffuse. And OMG I cannot stand the feeling of wet hair!

I wash my hair at night and sleep on it, but I don't mind having wet hair. It really saves a lot of time, and is great for people who hate diffusing (diffusing makes my hair frizzy, even when I pixie curl). When I wake up, my hair is dry and ready to go!

OMG I save FOREVER by diffusing. I've only been CG for like 2 weeks now, and this was my first weekend where I could actually play hair scientist and have the time to air dry. Today, I plopped for about 20 minutes, and air dried for 3 HOURS! It's still not compleyely dry but it's dry enough to gel down some frizzies. With my diffusing in the morning before work, I plop for 10- diffuse for about 20 minutes until 50-60% dry, and then air dry the rest of the way- which is about an hour.

BTW- Can I say that I LOVE weekends- I can try so many things with my hair!!!
Today I learned how to clip, and I feel ah-some!!
