'Cones, 'cones EVERYWHERE (or why it's important to read labels--ARGH!)

I'm going on week three of CG (or is it four...ah...no matter). I have my print out of all the approved co-washes, rinse-outs, creams, mousses, gels, etc. And the list goes with me everywhere. So, I'm at Costco with my coupon book. I see they have Nexxus for $7.00 off. WOW! That's a nice chunk of savings. I reference it on The List. Yup, it's there, Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner. WooHoo!

So, later that evening, just before my shower, I decide to read the label. Lo and behold, ingredient five, Dimethicone. No PG, no PEG as a prefix. Just plain ole dimethicone. What the WHAT??? And then I remember the disclaimer on the blog where I got The List, which said, in essence, manufacturers mix up ingredients now and then. But I decide to use it anyway. After all, 'cones used to be my friend and I just saved $7! :bag:

But now what? Do I need sulfates to wash out the 'cones? Can one use 'cones with good results? Do I just give this away? I'm so confused, and disheartened. Not to mention that I've been having bad hair days (even before this conditioner). What should I do?
Mostly sure I'm a 2b/Mii
Just starting out (and brining the entire family along for the ride):
CO-wash...V05 Moisture Milks Passion Fruit Smoothie
Rinse-out Conditioner...Garnier Fructis Fortifying Cream Conditioner Moisture Works for Dry or Damaged Hair
Leave-in Conditioner...Garnier Fructis Leave-In Conditioning Cream Sleek and Shine
Gel...Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Scrunching Gel
Wish me luck!
You can use it if you like, but you will need to periodically shampoo the cone out (you don't need sulfates, but you will need some sort of poo). What's more problematic than the cone, however, is the mineral oil in it (if it's the same formula I used a year ago, anyway), which is tough to remove and can cause problems otherwise (at least for me) - and that *might* require sulfates. There's nothing wrong really with using cones (or mineral oil for that matter), but you must occasionally shampoo to stop it from building up. It depends on how much you feel it builds up.

I do know, from experience, that Nexxus Humectress makes a fantastic shaving cream, though.

Out of curiosity, what list is this? I'm reasonably sure the Humectress has always had dimethicone in it...

I am about to start the CG method, and I have been using Nexxus Humectress for a while now and my hair loves it! I also use the Therappe, but I also haven't started the no-poo process yet.

What is a curl to do now?!

Where are the approved list of CG products?

The list is on the left side of this blog.
Always double check each time you buy a product. Even if you have purchased it before. Formulas change.
BTW, just because a product is not on this list does not mean it is not cg. She can't possibly list all CG products.
