Just doesn't want to grow...
Hey everyone,

I'm 2 years natural and loving my curls, but I'm not sure they love me right back. As of late, I've been getting these little tiny single strand knots in my hair. Also, it looks as though the ends are splitting, but then rejoining, so it looks like I have holes in individual strands of my hair. Sometimes, two and three times per strand. I fear I have no real option but to cut my hair and lose all my growth (just hit itty bitty ponytail length :-( ).

Have any of you had this problem? What do you do to help prevent split ends. I know the ends need to be clipped but it isn't just my ends. It's so sad. :-(

Do you seal your ends? That could help cut down on the single strand knots and splits. What's your regimen like? Or are you brushing your hair dry to cause the holes in the shaft?

Hey I may have a great solution . There are these little glass vials of liquids (and also some other good products) from a company called Alfa Parf Milano , which have different catergories of hair caring benefits , such as one for extra moisture , one for briiliant shine and one for fiber renewal of the hair . They only cost about 2.99 each , and they work wonders on the hair especially if used daily or frequently . The Midollo Di Bamboo AlpfaParf Renewal Lotion Fiber Repair treatment is for hair just the way you described yours , that doesnt grow fast or at all , badly damaged and dry . This stuff actually REPAIRS your hairs fiber structures , making it a hell of alot healthier and in better condition . Here is the link for all things Alfa Parf :

I used to have a ridiculous amount of those mid-strand splits. It turns out any amount of heat causes my hair to split mid-strand!!! So I had to re-transition from damaged hair. Took me 1 year. But I must say, all my new-growth is without any splits and with very few knots.
In the interim I did weekly DC's and regular protein treatments.
