Growing Highlights out-Do Faster Hair growth products work?

I've come to realize, that due to over highlighting, especially around the frame/crown of my head, I have lost most of my curls because it is so overly dried out from the color. My hair is pretty long and in order for it to ALL be one color again, it will take A LONG time...

Does anyone know if those fast hair growing products actually work. If anyone has tried them, I'd love the input before I waste my money.

Also if anyone has any other tips that would be great too. Just really want my curls back and now that I finally figured out the main culprit, I'm afraid it will take to long and I'll hate the way I look that I will just get highlighted again...

Help! Thanks
I am currently a 2C who wants to be a 3...I'm trying for anything that will make my limp boring waves into bouncy curls...ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!!!
jo -- I don't have any advice (sorry), but I just wanted to say that I LOVE your hair! I have a similar texture and I am trying to grow it around the same length and yours. I hope it looks that good when it gets there!
NYC - but originally from Philly!

2c/3a - coarse texture, little volume - still experimenting!

Josie, you might read some of the post at We are all obsessive about growing our hair and there are a few things that help, but nothing like the products claim.

I'm in the same boat. Growing out damage from highlights.
I don't think anything really helps. Just taking the best care of your hair as possible. Some people swear by vitamins and scalp massages.

I'm in the same boat as you, my hair coloring experience destroyed my curls as well. I've been growing it out for 2 years, and I still have about a year to go. It's really frustrating.
