No more Ms. Nice Girl to hair

I'm done being gentle with my hair. It doesn't matter how gently I wash it or condition or try to comb it because it looks like I could make a wig with what comes out.

I used an ION temporary color a few days ago and it turned my roots black and my ends were still brassy red and didn't absorb any of the color. I washed my hair 7 times with regular sulfate shampoo and conditioners and all of the color has washed out. I don't know what color brand the hairdresser used but no other dye will stick to it. So, I lost what looked like a whole head full of hair and my hair is so curly and healthy looking now. I get better results when I'm not so gentle with my hair.

One girl stopped me yesterday to rave over my perm..."It looks so natural." HAHA...I told it is natural and I just stopped straightening and I chopped off the relaxed ends.

I've also fixed my color problem for now. I bought some highlight mascaras and they work so well one girl at work said, "You're hair looks really good. What happened to your grey? I thought you weren't going to dye anymore." My roots are between 2.5"-3" now I am encouraged to just let it grow and not cut off the ends. I got bronze and burdangy highlighters and it blends great and I'm happy.

Whatever works for you That's great that you know.

I've gotten more compliments since I stopped following a certain routine. My husband said today, "You're hair is looking really healthy lately."
