Super Dry Hair & Tryinq to Grow Out

My hair is mostly a 3B, with a little 2B, medium texture, & a normal porosity (i think); I plan on starting CO tomorrow.
But my hair is super super dry. My scalp is also dry and so therefore, my hair grows EXTREMELY slowly. I got at least 2 to 3 inches in the last 2 years.
I'm hoping that by doing CO, my scalp and hair will become much healthier and my hair can actually grow.
But I was just wondering (and hoping) if anyone had any products to suggest to make my hair healthier?
Mostly 3B, but with a little 2B. Medium texture, Normal porosity. Still tryinq to fiqure out what products work best for me.

But currently usinq:
Co-wash, rinse out condish (& sometimes, leave-in):V05 Passion Fruit Smoothie Conditioner& V05 Strawberries and Cream Conditioner;
Leave In: Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave-In;
Styling: Garnier Fructis Curl Shaping Spray Gel

Goal: hair length to be BSL & much much healthier

Slowly discovering my curly beauty.
I know just what you mean. Im going through the same thing. If you find out anything could you please email me at thank you
this might work for you guys...
i use the jane carter solution:nutrient replenishing conditioner as my co-wash. it works *wonders* for my hair and if i leave it in, my hair feels extremely soft and healthy.
another thing you guys could try is the jcs:nourish and shine. i swear by this stuff. it is GREAT for moisturizing my hair and my hair feels soft and springy when i use it. its a little pricey at $22 a pop (4 oz.) but in my opinion its worth every penny. its good for your scalp too, as is it for your skin (i love this stuff!)

but anywayz, hope i helped!

One thing that has worked for me with my dry scalp is oiling it the night before a wash. The one I use is called Triple Moon Hair Anointing Oil. Jojoba oil and Coconut oil have done well for me in the past as well.

Id just like to point out your choice of products.. that may be your main and only problem. Ive found from personal experience that both V05 & Garnier are crappy when it comes to dry/curly hair. ESP that strawerries & cream conditioner, smells good but thats about all it does. & Garnier products seemed to be a bit drying. You need something of better quality, and they can still be found at a drugstore so dont worry.

I use moisturizing shampoos & deep conditioners to maintain my once dry but now healthy hair, esp because i heat style weekly..

I dont think you will be dissappointed by Loreal Vive Pro Hydra Gloss Shampoo & Conditioner for extra dry hair [transformed my mothers extremely dry rough hair], Aphogee Evening Primrose Shampoo & Intensive Keratin Reconstructor, or my new favorite Loreals new sulfate free Everpure line, the moisturizing one, i absolutely L0VE it.. though its sulfate free the shampoo still lathers and cleans really well & the conditioner is great to leave in (its not sticky or heavy) but still moisturizing if you rinse out. I think you will do great with any of those and i HIGHLY recommend you try Aussie 3 Min Miracle either sydney smooth or Deeep treatment-- really works miracles and is only abt $3!
Herbal Essences come clean shampoo is also a really great clarifying shampoo, removes buildup without overdrying!
Im pretty sure its your choice of products that are killing your hair, V05 is really no good.. fore a leave in, try Loreal or Infusium 23!

Also, i recently invested in some organic coconut oil, great as a deep conditioner and all natural scalp oil.. i like the texture w. my hair better than jojoba, that might help with your dry scalp. Although a better conditioner will improve upon that as well. Hope it helps !!
