Welcome to CurlTalk's Hall of Fame

CurlTalker jeepcurlygurl brought up a good point -- we have a Hall of Shame, but no Hall of Fame! Where are we supposed to discuss curly PRIDE in the media or in our lives?

More natural hair in commercials...

Textured hair on the red carpet...

Or even just recognizing your child's kindergarten teacher for being curl-positive (I have a bad experience with curl-bashing teachers!!)

All this and so much more can be posted in this forum. If there are any problems, please don't hesitate to post in the Feedback forum, private message me, or email me at evelyn@naturallycurly.com

Also keep in mind our rules & guidelines -- just want to prevent any copyright issues! + be respectful and gracious and uplifting and all the things our community is known for.

Happy Friday!

Thanks for this! I want to hear about all of the above!
I especially love hearing about people in the public eye having natural hair. They are role models to me.
--I'm located in Western PA.
--I found NC in late 2004, CG since February 2005, started going grey in late 2005.
--My hair is 3B with some 3A, texture-medium/fine, porosity-normal except for the ends which are porous, elasticity-normal.
--My long time favorite products are Suave & VO5 conditioners, LA Looks Sport Gel, oils, honey, vinegar.
--My CG and grey hair progress -- http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlta...-progress.html
No problem!

I'm glad to see this! Surely we have some POSITIVE comments to share.
I was very intrigued to read in the bible that Jesus' hair was a type 4 of sorts
"Daniel 7:9

I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire."

natural wool

So all those with wooly hair can feel proud that, there was another very famous naturalista just like you... Jesus Christ

PS: I have to admit that reading that made me wish I was a type 4
My Routine:
Coconut oil drench the night before I co-wash
then cowash and deep condition each time w/ Keracare Humecto, Joico Moisture Recovery and/or ApHogee 2min
then usually airdry
Grapeseed oil nightly

(no gel, mouse, or hair spray. My delicate, fine hair will tear if I even try to run my fingers through it with any of those. )
My go to leave ins are now: my regular conditioners listed above, gs oil, or PW77
