400 degree flat iron

Hi! I am doing a DIY BKT tonight. BUT my flat iron only goes up to 400 degrees. Do you think it will still work?
Did you already do it Amber? How did it turn out? Alot depends on the type of BKT that you are using. Most will require the 450 degree iron to seal in the keratin, but some will more fragile hair will use less heat. I have been experimenting with less heat in the front of my hair as it is straighter than the back of my hair and doesn't seem to need the high heat. That's the great thing about DIY - experiment and see what works best for your own hair. I would probably do more passes over the hair if I was using less heat the first time though.
