Im New to this whole curly thing, please help

I just did the width and porosity test and found that my hair is Coarse/low porosity. As far as the type that's a bit trickier, it is a mixture of 2b/2c/3a/3band maybe even more in there. I have always kept my hair short, like 1/2 inch all over. about 2 years ago i started growing it out with the back really short and the front long. but now its below my color bone when wet and when it dries its right below my chin, it shrinks a lot. It also looks as though it grows outward than down. But its at the point now I've got to do something cause it is very very unruly. That im really contemplating cutting i all of again, but i really dont want to do this since this is the longest its been since i was 8 and im 30 now.

But anyway, can anyone help me figure out what i need to do. I want to do the CG way and be able to were it freely, i tend to wear it up more than anything else cause its always frizzy, i look like i stuck my finger in a light socket most of the time.

I would like to be able to buy the product locally if i can and not to expensive, but i know sometimes price is worth the length of a product and how well it works. So i am open for the suggestions of expensive ones.

Thanks everyone!!!!
I also have low porosity hair of multiple curl types (2C/3A) and have always kept it super short. I'm growing it out from a super short haircut and so far it's just covering my ears.

I've found the Shea Moisture line to really help with my hair and frizz. Steam and warm water also help my low porosity hair to absorb moisture. You might be able to find a salon that offers steam treatments for hair.

I found my best results when I focused on my hair properties (fine, medium to low porosity, normal density). Try not to get too caught up in your 2b/2c/3a/3b curl pattern. Curl patterns may change as your hair gets healthier.

Coarse hair tends to need more moisture and less protein. Did you clarify first to get any cones and residue out of your hair? Have you done a deep treatment? If not, it may be something to try. Are you using a gel?

Techniques can be as helpful as products when it comes to controlling frizz. I cannot touch my hair during the drying process. This link may be helpful:

to be honest, i know im not using the right product or technique to my hair. What should i do to start this CG process?

i went the natural route once, which backing soda/vinegar and no other products and ended up with dreads, lol.
It can all be a little overwhelming at first! Many of us started by reading the book "Curly Girl." It's a fairly simple process of no silicones or sulfate products. There is lots written about it on the web - a google search will give you lots of info. These links will also be helpful:
