Newbie Here! At 58 years young, I'm Finally Embracing my 2C Hair!

Hi! Well, I had an epiphany of sorts. First of all, I have lost about 1/3 of my hair from menopause..then I started to realize that my hair has been sooo damaged over the years from blow drying (for over 40 years), flat ironing, coloring, setting with large rollers with bobby pins to keep them put. Not swimming for fear my hair will take too long to fix, only washing my hair once a week because it'll become too dry. Oh.and I do have to say, some years ago I actually had a Ouidad cut and I must have been the only woman to leave the salon crying. The cut didn't work for me!
I normally wear my hair in a messy bun--only because my hair looks good pulled back...but today, I wore it in a messy bun only a natural, CURLY/WAVY messy bun and the compliments I received were crazy! More than one person said that curly hair looked more natural for me. That being said, HOW do I find products without sulfates? Can anyone recommend drugstore condish and gel and mouse and serum that don't have sulfates? I purchased No-poo today so....we'll see. Anyway, thank you in advance for any information you can give me. I appreciate it!

(just so you know, the products I list are all Walmart prices. Idk if there's a Walmart near you, but it should be similar for similar stores)

Suave Naturals (any scent, although the coconut has protein, in case you're protein sensitive) is a good cowash and I also use it as a leave in (and frequently, it's the only thing I use after my shower) at $1.50 for a huge family size bottle.

Tresemme Naturals (I use the Radiant Volume one, I find it's more moisturizing than the Nourishing Moisture, but either one is good, I've used both) is a good rinse out conditioner at $4.48 for another huge bottle

As well as being protein sensitive, I'm also glycerin sensitive (finding products for me is impossible, haha!), so I've really had limitations on what products I can use. I really like Herbal Essences Body Envy mousse. It gives me hold with very little crunch. I think it runs about $2.97 (I got it on sale for $2.50) or $3.37, I can't remember.

For gel, I really like Aussie Instant Freeze. I think that's another $2.97, but I'm not positive. Somewhere in the $3 range. If you're not glycerin sensitive, a lot of people like the L.A. Looks Sport Gel (I've used it and I like it, just not as much as Aussie IF) and you get A TON for SUPER CHEAP! 20oz for $1.98.

I'm good with the drugstore stuff, but once you get to the more expensive stuff (like Deva and Ouidad), I'm so lost. Haha!!

I hope this helped a little!
heading off for the products!
