Hi all,
Im new here and have been struggling with my ccurly hair forever. It seems that no one can ever identify with me when it comes to hair. Hopefully this site helps.
Hello my lovely Curlies!
I'm new to the forums, but have been trolling around Naturally Curly for a bit....
I've been curly haired all my life but only started taking good care of my curls when hit puberty

I LOVE my hair, so im glad i have such a good tool to help me take care of it!!!
Greeting..My name is Genevie..I just recently(March) embraced my hair. At the age of 27, I am discovering the truth about the lye(LOL) I have been told by many including my family. I've learned that people wont accept you if you don't first accept yourself! WOW! I was considered by my friends that weave queen. I had never seen my natural hair. Now that Im free to be me..its easy to shrug off other people negative opinion ! LOL
Hello everyone!
I'm seventeen years old, hometown is New Orleans Louisiana, and I now reside in Houston Texas.

I have 4b hair which is sometimes unfair to me, but I still love it. I came here to hopefully find a way to keep my hair healthy and moisturized. As for those who are having trouble with their hair too, I wish you girls (and fellas) the best.

See ya!
Hello everyone
I'm new here. I'm 17 years old and just started embracing my curls about a month ago. Hoping this forum will be helpful in my new life
Hi guys and gals. I'm 24 and had my BC in March just gone. Its taking some getting used to and has been well recieved by those around me. (mums got sista locs, gran has a TWA yadda yadda) I've been lurking around for a while and figured i'd join in all the fun!

I'm guessing ive got 4a/b hair but i'm not even too sure about that, guess i'll be visiting the "what is my hair type" thread soon!
Another Transition Blog!
Hi! thanks for helping us newbies out! i have a quick question how do i post something??? i only figured out how to quick reply to someone so im hoping you help me, i apprecitate it thanks!
I have just joined this site on behalf of my daughter. She's 12 years old and in the last year and a half, the front half of her hair has changed to a much different texture than the back. The back half of her hair is softer, finer and wavy. The front half (surrounding her face) has changed to a much coarser texture that is always frizzy. (Both her father and I are caucasian.)

Needless to say, this has been very difficult for my daughter to deal with. None of her friends have hair like this.

I'm hoping to find some advice here on this board and thank you all in advance.

Hi everyone!!

I'm another newbie, I've been slowly transitioning about 4 months now with only about two inches of relaxed hair left...natural 4a/4b hair, definitely excited and ecstatic about my ringlets AND finding this site. I've been just skimming the internet for articles or information to help me on my journey to healthy beautiful curls because I've been having major trouble finding products to moisturize. I guess I'm still getting to know my hair and what it needs to look as great as I know it will!! I hope everyone's journey to healthy hair is going great. Love to hear some advice from anyone
Hi everyone! I'm new (obviously) and eager to learn how to help my hair. On a good day, my hair is wavy, but I want to have that hair everyday. I have a lot to read, especially on how to figure out if my hair likes protein or not. Looking forward to spending time online with all of you. Off to explore the rest of the site now...
hey i have just joined the site today because i need some help, i have only gone back to being natural for about 6 months after staightening it and using heated curlers. thankfully my hair is in good condition now and i have fallen in love with naturally curly hair again but i have no idea how to get it cut, i want to keep the length which is about at my bra strap, i have a round face and i have no idea what would suit me. any suggestions
I'm new to this natural thing. I transitioned last year and grew all my relaxed hair out without the b.c. Now, Ive been completely natural for 3 months and for 1 1/2 i kept a sew in because I have no idea what to do with my hair. I don't know what to do at the morning nothing. I'm just really irritated cause I love my natural hair but I'm sooo lost with all of this. I think I'm a 4b-4cish only by reading and looking on youtube! Can someone please give me any suggestions on a night routine and some help of keeping my hair moisturized throughout the day...
I'm new I just wanted to stop by and say "HI", I've been natural for about 3 years now. I THINK I have mostly 4a edges + nape with some frizzy/coarse (4b maybe) parts in the middle. I'm here looking for styling ideas and product recs

My biggest problem is that I have pretty severe Rheumatoid Arthritis (w/ multiple surgeries on both hands) which makes manipulating/styling my hair VERY difficult especially that coarse part in of all places the back! I also have problems with dryness in that area as well, just looking for advice support, etc..

hello!!, well my name is Erica and i'm new here, i have natural curly hair and i haven t found a site that i can identify with people hopefully this one works
Hey Everyone! I'm Courtney, and I've decided at the beginning of June that I would be going natural!! My first relaxer was at the tender age of 5, and I'm 14 turning 15 next month...That's almost 10 years of relaxers! I wish I was given the choice of whether I wanted to relax or not because I hate my relaxed hair..I'm in the process of transitioning now, but don't plan to for long. I would chop my relaxed ends of now if my mom wasn't stopping me! Anyway, at the end of August I'm going to big chop, and I can't wait! I don't really see to many girls my age wanting to go natural, so I hope I could find someone here who is going through the same thing
Hey yall,
I'm 19 years old and currently enrolled in college (woot woot c/o 2013) I recently did the Big Chopon May 24th of this year after 11 months and 2 weeks of transitioning. I was trying to transition for 18 months but I just couldn't take it anymore lol. In all honestly it was one of the most liberating things I have ever done. I believe my hair texture is 4a/4b and I have this weird patch of hair in the back that is probably 3b/c it just naturally curls on it's own without me having to style it which is convenient yet annoying at the same time. Anywho I joined the site to be able to get and share information.

Peace & Love
Hello all! I just joined today! I am so excited to have found a site where I can talk about my curly hair that I have had a love/hate relationship my whole life! Haha!

A 3b 2c combo a couple of inches above my elbows...think Amanda Marshall hair
Hello All
I finally decided to join! I've been coming across this site for quite some time now but never joined.
I'm a newbie to the site but not to natural hair. I've actually been natural for 5 years now but have only been having fun with my hair and absolutely loving it for 2 years. Hopefully, I can get some good info and also meet some new natural Queens.
