When I lived in NYC I went to the famous Ouidad salon...until their prices crept well over $100 per cut. I moved to MD about 5 yrs ago and it took me 2 yrs to find Amanda. I may never move again! She's made my type 3b curly Jewish hair look fabulous at all lengths--we started up above my ears and now it's to my shoulder blades. She's highlighted it just the perfect, natural shade for my auburn hair. I'm contemplating some new color. I wouldn't trust anyone else--she keeps up on all the latest in curly hair products and techniques, frequently traveling to NY and other places for workshops with people like former Ouidad master Christo and Deva's Lorraine Massey. If Amanda ever stops cutting I'm just going to shave my head! She's often booked in advance so make sure you call for an appointment, don't just drop by and expect her chair to be open. But Amanda is well worth the wait.
