What nail polish do you have on at the moment?

hahaha. It does take some getting used to but since I have just about every color of Insta Dri they make and use it nearly every time, I'm used to it. Now those wimpy brushes are just no good for me.

Okay, sorry to be the polish idiot in the bunch, but what the heck is 3? (3 free?) I've noticed my nails are getting a tiny bit discolored since I started polishing them regularly.

I tried to follow yalls posts but I have no idea what you're talking about?!

I'm no expert, but 3 free polishes are formeldehyde, DBP, and toluene free. If you mix 3 free polish with top or bottom coats that aren't 3 free, you might get chipping or staining respectively.
This link list big 3 (and more) free polishes. They used to be hard to find, but now there are lots of them.

Anyone ever tried a dry water marble? If so did it work?

Dry water marble- Apply polish to a ziplock bag. Use a toothpick for the marble effect and let it dry. Apply a piece of the marble to your nail. Press and tear off excess. Better explanation in the link.

Nubar Dark Castle.

The package says charcoal grey with a subtle shimmer. To me, it lives in that zone between grey and black.

Most people are going to look at it and think it's black, but, when you look at it, it really isn't. I though of MichelleBFT, and wondered if this shade would work for her.

It dries semi matte. I put my top coat on and liked the color better without the shine, so I put a coat of color on top of my topcoat, lol.

Some bloggers have said that this looks like leather. To me, that's the closest description. The color, subtle sheen, and texture of the finish rind me of a pair of leather pants I had two decades ago.

It looks more black in pics than it does to me IRL.

Kiva! Microfinance works.

Med/Coarse, porous curly.

My black from China Glaze has chipped some, but overall is wearing a lot better than the Orly does. It's still very shiny, which is one of my complaints about the orly... the shine fades.

I haven't tried my Orly purple yet.... I'm hoping I'll have time to paint my nails tonight.

"And politically correct is the worst term, not just because it’s dismissive, but because it narrows down the whole social justice spectrum to this idea that it’s about being polite instead of about dismantling the oppressive social structure of power.
Fun Fact: When you actively avoid being “PC,” you’re not being forward-thinking or unique. You’re buying into systems of oppression that have existed since before you were even born, and you’re keeping those systems in place."
