cheapest way to control hair

Ok, now everyone says, "Gel is for control, mousse is for volume." Well, guess what, they're wrong. Gel does help control but it's slimy and can weigh down looser curls I decided to try mousse on my aunt's suggestion, and after trying about 10 kinds, I found one (Pantene Pro-V), but they changed formulas and I went on another search. The result: SalonSelectives (getin shape (tm) shapin mousse for thick/curly/wavy hair or for more demanding looks) and it's only about $3.50 a bottle, you can get it about anywhere, and it works well in dry weather and in humidity (from Utah to Costa Rica--trust me. ) (Oh--And girls and guys alike think it smells great, and there's hairspray that smells the same and works great.) When that's out I use my second choice (not quite as much control and it doesn't smell as nice) is Tresemme extra hold. i may be only (almost) 17, but i've been 'around the block' when it comes to trying curly hair products. As for shampoo and conditioner, honestly the Costco brand (kirtland) shampoo and conditioner are the best. It smells good, the shampoo gets any residue off, and the conditioner leaves my hair so much softer and less-frizzy than any other brands. I let it soak a few minutes by putting my hair in a claw after putting it on and then shaving before I rinse, but it works great when you don't have time to let it soak either. And of course it's cheap. Runner-up is pantene pro-v.
whoops! Sorry i put this in the wrong board by accident.... i'll go put it on the swap board!
