Just curious...

I used to buy home perms but instead of putting rollers in my hair I would put the solution on my hair and just comb it straight for the processing time. This would loosen my curl. Then I would further straighten using a curling iron when I tried to style the mess.
ha! i did the home perm thing once, had my mom do it for me. you pulled it through, kept combing it through. it was terrible -- my hair had no body but lots of frizz. i never did that again! i am sure it dried my hair out.
