I need some dinner ideas
My mom asked me to start making dinner 2 or 3 nights a week to help her out. I'm trying to find some recipes that I can make, and that my little brother will like. He's super picky... I thought i was picky until I noticed what he eats (or, what he doesn't).

It'd be a preferance if they are somewhat easy to make, but I could try my hand at stuff that's a little harder. I guess you learn from trial and error! One of the only things he likes is pasta, so I was thinking of making some pasta dishes. Other than that, I'll force him to eat some stuff he doesn't like.

I don't know if you need more information than this or not, but if you do, let me know!

If he likes pasta, you can make several different sorts of dinners with that. Buy a variety of noodle types and pick a few different jarred sauces. Experiment with ground turkey, extra lean ground beef, or ground chicken. It's super easy to fry up some ground meat, added a jarred sauce, and mix it up with some type of noodle. You can also try your hand at adding some different vegetables to it like mushrooms, squash, zucchini, carrots, peas, lots of different veggies. You can mix it up right in the pot, or for variety, mix it into a casserole dish and sprinkle with cheese. Bake it just til the cheese it bubbly. Sprinkling paprika atop the cheese makes a beautiful color. Don't forget to add a salad! Pastas go great with salad!

an easy pasta dish is a baked ziti..

all you need is a box of ziti (1lb. box feeds approx. 4 people)
at least one 28oz jar of sauce
and a 16oz. bag of shredded mozz cheese

just cook the pasta for a minute or two less than the box says, add it to a large oven safe bowl, stir in sauce, stir in some cheese, and top with remaining mozz cheese

put some foil over it and put it in an oven at 350 for twenty minutes, remove foil and let stay in oven approx another 10 minutes or until cheese is all melted..

***notes: add more or less sauce depending on preference, but do know that the pasta will absorb a nice amount of the sauce when it is in the oven.. you may also want more or less cheese depending on pesonal taste..

all you need to go with this is some garlic bread and a salad or your favorite veggie :)

Canned salmon with frozen veggies and baked potatoes would be a good option when you have a lot of homework :)
