How to get my hair in better condition

I have type 3a and I have split ends and it just doesn't feel healthy, I used to straighten my hair most days (with heat protection) but I've stopped mostly for a while now and only straighten it once a month. I've recently bought a moose for my hair too! does anyone know how to get it in better condition, or good products In the uk? Home ingredients would be great!
I'm also in the UK and the best conditioners are Dove, Aussie or Garnier.
Regarding the split ends, that's probably due to heat damage, so get your split ends cut every now and again. Deep condition your hair every once in a while and it'll start to feel healthier. Also, stop straightening it. Or if you still want to, look for non-heat ways to do so.
Heat damage is quite hard to recover from so I would also get some conditioner spray. I use Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance, it's BRILL, can be bought anywhere in the UK. It conditions and stops frizzing. I started to use it a couple of years ago and it really makes my hair shine.
Evidence based ingredients for damaged or porous hair include coconut oil, ceramides, hydrolysed protein and panthenol. Most commercial brands contain little of any use most of them are loaded with silicones which give faux shine and slip: there are some good products in the British Curlies store.
2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG. Past bra strap length heading for waist.

CO-wash: Inecto coconut/ Elvive Volume Collagen
Treatments: Komaza Care Matani, coconut/ sweet almond/ fractionated coconut oils, Hairveda Sitrinillah
Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss Ultimate Volume, various Elvive
Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Au Naturale styling gelee
Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.
Experimenting with: benign neglect
Orangic coconut oil!!!! Recently discovered this miracle. Can buy it anywhere. I bought it at my health food store. 7.99 for a good size jar. Its solid but once its in your hand, melts very fast. Once a week, or more if needed, put a lot in your hair! I mean grease it up! If u have a heat cap, do that for 20 min. I've dine that or left it on for a hour or so while I did stuff around the house, then wash out. The protein does amazing things for damaged hair, even heat damage. I have 3b hair and I straighted often. When I go curly I have straight pieces indicating heat damage. The coconut oil helps, its cheap and can be used as a face mask, makeup remover, lotion, cooking oil and a million other things.

Split end occurs when hair becomes dry,rough,brittle ,under moisturized but it can be taken care if anyone trim hair on a regular basis,avoid using chemicals, avoid wet cutting and increase the intake of moisturize .
It's not CG, but for a month I used L'Oreal Damaging Erase Balm (yellow jar, it says it repairs a year of damage I think), and I had the worst damage of my life, after about 2 uses my hair felt sooo much better, it's inexpensive and I think worth a try I think unless your strictly cg
