3b: How can I loosen curls w/o losing them?

I have 3b curls, and generally wear my hair curly - it feels like part of my personality! I dont have the time or energy to straighten, but recently had the curls blown out for a wedding to RAVE reviews. Is there a treatment that can make my curls looser? I have been reading about BKT and other salon-specific treatments and others and would prefer something that is non-toxic and wont be a mess to grow out. Help! Suggestions? (Live in NYC)
I would love to know this too. I have 3a-b and would like to get it into looser curls that would be more manageable, or atleast have the option of loosening them or wearing them natural.

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.
When your hair is wet, clip bobby pins or clips onto the ends of your hair. This will weigh your hair down as it dries, and your curls won't be as tight. For less dramatic loosening, clip on the pins when your hair is damp (as opposed to wet).

Hope that helps, ladies.

I see now you're looking for a permanent solution...no ideas there, but at least with clips you can experiment with the looseness of the curl.

PS. Experiment with heavier/lighter clips.

That's definitely a great idea! I'm going to try that out!
Baking soda apparently has that affect there's a thread about it on 4A

And also henna has the side effect of lossening curls but it does add color. I'm trying it first chance I get since it's supposed to make hair really conditioned and shiny. Curlynikkie.com talks about it on 4A and on her blog.
I was going to mention baking soda and henna.

I know ladies who have also relaxed their curls using a mixture of coconut milk and lime. I personally have experienced loosening of my curls with bentonite clay treatments and yogurt, honey, and banana (baby food) treatments. The effects of these things are cumulative for most folks so you may have to do it a few times to get the results you are looking for.
there are great tips.

is there a henna out there that can do this and not add color but shine? would love to know... how much does it loosen
