How do curlies in Montreal survive? In a quest for affordable Abba Pure.
I buy my Abba Pure gentle leave-in conditioner 1litre for 26 dollars in Toronto, the one place I found that stocks it in Montreal sells the 200 ml tube for that price alone !!! I stocked well before I came here except on the leave-in side of things. Whats up with the hair stores here, how come none of the hair speciality stores sell Abba pure? I tried to call Trade Secrets to see if they stock it but they don't pick up and they are very far away from downtown. I hardly see any naturals in Montreal and I kinda see why. Where can they get products?

You're absolutley right; it IS tough to find products in the Montreal area. I mostly order stuff from Honey Fig, or stock up when I happen to be in Toronto.

Which Trade Secrets did you try? I know there are a few locations in Mtl, but I don't think any of them are centrally located....

To be honest I'm not that familiar with Abba Pure Products, but have you tried Winners? Lately I've noticed they have litre containers of Giovanni Conditioners as well as Nature's Gate Products.

Also, there's a store in the Plateau area that now sells Kinky-Curly and Miss Jessie's stuff. I've never been to the store so I can't say so for a fact, but I saw the info when I happened to be on the Kinky-Curly website.....

Good luck in your search!:blob7:

The Trade Secrets I called is at 2305, Chemin Rockland.

I have to visit them this week, my Curls souffle has run out.

Great idea about going to winners to look for curly products, sometimes they sale Abba too! I can't believe I didn't think of it! thanks :D

I don't like ordering hair products unless it a must, shipping costs are just too expensive. I'd rather take the tedious subway journey all the way up to North Montreal :P

North Montreal? Is there a special store there that I don't know of? Do tell!!!! :D

oh I just meant trade secrets, its location is far North from me.

Go to the biggest and best Winners in the city. Winners has recently upped their game and now have tons of hair and beauty products. I can find ABBA stuff along with jumbo sized Nature's Gate and Giovanni stuff. The one near my house currently has several bottles of ABBA Pure (my fav too) for only 19.99.

In case anyone is ever thinking of going to the Trade Secrets at Rockland mall...Don't. It's so dissapointing. They had like 4 Curls products and the souffle wasn't one of them. I had called two weeks ago and they said they'd ordered it and it would be in, in two days. NOT. And only the small Abba gentle leave-in was available :(

I've not found very much for curlies in this city. Anyone know where to find Nexxus Emergencee? I've checked in a Jean Coutu, a Pharmaprix, Metro and Maxi et cie. Also, if there are any health food stores that sell hair products, let me know.
I did notice a hair specialty place in a mall attatched to Atwater Metro station. I'll have to check it out again...

I found a place that sells Abba! Go to métro Snowdon, and right across from it is a health food store called Santé 2000 or something like that. They have a really good hair selection, including Aubrey, some Giovanni, Druide, Abba, and some Burt's Bees. The address is 5006 Rue Queen Mary. It's next to a coffee shop.
I didn't check the price on any of the Abba stuff, but the Druide and Giovanni stuff was between 9 and 13 dollars, if that helps.
Good luck!:)

Oh, and there's another health food store on Jean-Talon that sold a lot of Abba stuff. It's in the same mall that the Wal-Mart on Jean-Talon is in; it's pretty much on the corner of Jean-Talon and Langelier.

I wish I knew this earlier since I do my groceries at Jean Talon Market and I was in Snowdown this week. I discovered two days ago the Trade Secrets in the South Shore. It was in an outlet shop area, I'll go ask again for the name of the place and post it here. They sold Abba gentle leave-in Conditioner the 1 litre bottle and, Curls Souffle for 17 dollars! I am good again for the rest of my time in this amazing city. Thanks ladies!
