What protein treatments do you use and how often? You have beautiful hair. Mine is also 3b,fine,normal porosity. Thanks.

I have a few different PT's that I use. I always rotate products and find my hair responds well to changing it up. I use a PT followed by a DT weekly. The following are my favorite PT's: Spiral Solutions Repairing Protein Treatment, Curl Junkie Curl Fix, Joico Kpak and Nexxus Emergencee. If I find that I need an extra shot of protein in between treatments, I use Spiral Solutions Strength and Shine Leave-in Protein Spray. HTH

I've seen Suave at Zellers, the Superstore, Rexall/Pharma Plus, and some grocery stores (such as no frills, food basics, ...).
I've NEVER seen it at Walmart or Shoppers though.
Ontario, Canada

Others: CLU towel, Mebco comb, occasional diffuser
The suave naturals are also showing up at loblaws. I was surprised by that one & Dollarama often carries it as well. Rexall as well(someone already mentioned that!)

To my fellow Canadian curlies! I have to tell you all about this amazing site I found called CurlyCanadians. It's got great curly hair care tips AND best of all, they sell Denman brushes! You gotta check them out at!
I'm bumping this thread for anyone who lives in Vancouver.

Image West Hair in Vancouver sells the DevaCurl One Conditioner at their store for about $17 (12oz size). I don't know if they ship across Canada and the product isn't listed on their website but if you email them (website is ImageWest Hair Design and Retail Centres) They will confirm that they carry this product.

Hope this helps anyone on the west coast!
I can't believe it - MYHoneyChild is now in Canada! It's being sold by a site called They've got 2nd day refreshers and conditioners. You gotta check it out - so excited!
Does anyone know where I could get Dominican products in Toronto? More specifically I'm looking for salerm or lacio lacio.

Finally Trader Joe's will be a little closer to Toronto. Trader Joe's newest location is in Rochester, New York. Will open fall of 2012:

Trader Joe's

Either take the 3 hr drive or if you plan ahead, you can try to get a $1 megabus ticket from Toronto to Rochester:

Just wanted to say that i have been using the whole Tashodi (made in Canada) line as it is CG. it is organic, no parabens, no sulphates, no cones. i have to admit i miss the oidad line but it has cones which i am trying to avoid. the best part of the Tashodi line is that Winners currently has tonnes of it, so you can pick it up for really cheap.
Type: 3B? (not sure); Mod-CG (though i did not know it) since forever, now trying CG without cones since sept. 2011
Shampoo: no
Condish: Tashodi creamy argan oil
Treatments: Tashodi peppermint, lemongrass & argan oil hair mask; AETO botanical natural bamboo oil
Styling: Tashodi defrizzing balm, curl enhancer & styling mousse. Hemptz curl booster
Other: pineapple'ing @ night, plopping except in winter when i blow dry with defuser (it is Canada, gets to -40C), ouidad comb in the shower
Thanks so much for this! It sucks being so limited in choices though. Makes me sad. That's why usually when I go cross border I have to beg my parents to stop at every hair place so I can stock up ^_^

Sent from my MB860 using CurlTalk App
2c/3a mix. Low Porosity, Coarse, Mid-back length when curly, Mod CG, Loreal Eversleek: Sulfate/ Silicone free Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep conditioner (Weekly), Leave in Conditioner, Frizz Serum,
Garnier Frutcus Pure Clean: Gel and Frizz control.Live clean Exotic Necter Argan oil spray regularly.

I alternate use of products and use both Shampoo and Conditioner daily. Have been mod- CG for approx. 5 months. Straighten aprox once every 2 weeks. Thinking of going full CG.
I have been trying to find some MOP products. I live close to Toronto so it would not be a big deal for me to go there and I often travel to Hamilton. If someone could list out places that carry this product. I would be very grateful! I have tried finding it online and it said that bath and Body works carries this items but sadly they do not.

Hello ladies,

In case you did not know, Love Thy HnS is an e-retailer (online store) that sells hair care products for Naturals and all curly hair types and textures. The company is based in Montreal, Quebec and offers in-person pickup for Montrealers. They carry brands such as: Curl Junkie, Blended Beauty, Jessicurl, Jane Carter Solution, Cush Cosmetics, Aubrey Organics and much more. There will be more brands in the next months

So, I phoned the number listed on kinky curly for Calgary location. Found out they sell kinky curly products at a place called island beats, so next time I'm in Calgary I'm going to make a stop to check it out! Can anyone confirm this though?
