Hairloss/no more curls/my hair is completely straight if I do nothing to it. What?
Ok, so why is this? If I let my hair airdry (which for some reason takes like 4 hours, and my hair isn't thick), it'll end up completely straight, stuck to my head. But once I re-wet it and add curl cream and gel, and scrunch like hell, and diffuse, some curls appear. But why? Does anyone else have this?

Also, a bit of a back story, I used to have 3b curls. Total ringlets, VERY thick hair. But since last year my hair has been falling out, and most of all, straightening out!!!!! It grows in completely straight at the roots now. What the heck, why!!!!! I seriously hate it, and no one can give me any reason as to why it's growing in straight.

I think my hairloss was from being on Loestrin 24 birth control. Which sucks. But I switched that this past August, and now it's the end of October. And while I think the hairloss has slowed down, my hair isn't returning to it's curly state. So, can anyone help me, please??

Also, I posted this in the 3a section as well...I'm not too sure where to post this actually.

How frustrating!

Any other medical changes? The BC pills (any brand) could definitely be the culprit.
Did you move? Water changes? Diet changes?

It is SO frustrating! And yes, actually I have been pretty sick in the past 2 years. I had my gallbladder out April 2010, which did not go well AT ALL. And since then my life has been hell up until very very recently. I was pretty much starving myself because I literally could not eat. Like, if I ate, I died for the entire day, it was beyond painful. And I did move February 2011, but that's nothing compared to my stomach issues I'd been having. But a few weeks ago, after going to 4 gastroenterologists, I found a good one, and he FINALLY gave me this pill that slowed down my digestion, which has really taken away the pain! I can eat now, it's amazing!!!

So, maybe this had something to do with it all? My hair began to straighten out last year around this time...but it doesn't seem to be growing in curly still. It's stick straight, and my ends are curly, which looks stupid =/

Ok so I've been eating much more lately because I'm FINALLY able to....and still, my roots are coming in straight. I mean, this can't just happen, can it?

I remember the few times I'd straighten my hair, and now it's naturally like I straightened it...I hate it. How the heck can 3b curls go completely straight!?!???! Ugh. I know it's "only hair," but I can't do this.:banghead:

I'm sorry to hear that and I completely relate.

Instead of focusing on what your hair won't do, focus on what it can. It sounds like your health problems are being managed successfully, how wonderful for you! I'm not a doctor so I really don't know the correlation between hair and health, but I'm sure they have to be somewhat parallel.

Your hair in the avatar is so pretty....

Awww thanks! And well, it can't do much of anything  But I try new things everyday. Most unsuccessful. But today I diffused my hair completely upside-down, the entire time, and it looks like that helped ALOT. I'm afraid my "curls" will fall though as the day goes on =/. But so far this has worked better than anything else I've tried. Meh. If my hair truly does stay straight forever, I'll have to find out how to style it and cut it -_-. I hope it doesn't come to that though, I don't look right with straight hair!

Maybe it's one of those things when your hair naturally changes texture..
Have you tried the CG method? It is said to provide moisture and helps bring out your curls..
Or maybe like me.. I have this weird thing where my hair is curly when wet but dries straight unless I use product. I'm trying CG too which helped bring out at least some curl..
