Transitioning from chemical damage... need help!

I had extremely damaged hair from bleaching it several times to get it from really dark to platinum. All of the bleaching to all of my 3c curls away and broke my hair off at the crown. I got it trimmed to blend all my hair with the crown and now it might be about 2 inches long. There is little damaged hair left but my hair isn't curling up yet. You can tell where it is wanting to but it's just looks like I have very poofy roots and thin, ugly, spiky ends. If I get the rest of the damaged hair cut off, do you think it will start to curl up or is it not curling because it's so short? I desperately want my curls back but I am scared to go too short since my hair will only be an inch or so long. Any advice? Thanks!
First of all, I believe you will have to cut off your damaged hair. Once your hair grows, it should come back with your curls you were born with if you take good care of it.

I agree with @sawah. When a section of my hair fell out from a relaxer, I cut the hair off. It didn't matter much to me because I'm transitioning. There's no miracle product to make your hair bounce back in my opinion. You can opt to cut off all the damage at once or gradually.
