Limp curls- HELP!

I am a 22 year old girl living in Melbourne, Australia. I am unsure of my hair type. From years ago I'd say maybe a 3A. Unfortunately, I was never taught the importance of curl care from a young age! I would straighten my hair a few days a week (using a heat protectant spray at times) but mostly rock the up-dos. My hair was passed my chest in length. About 4 months ago I did the big chop and said goodbye to the obvious damage. For 2 and a half months now I have not used heat at all- I have also changed up my entire hair routine. I know it hasn't been that long since I've had the chop, but my curls have turned to dry 2A waves! Very little parts have remained extremely curly, but overall it's not looking good. Limp and sad..  I am being very patient and giving my hair lots of TLC I just want to know if there is any hope in bringing what my curls once were :(

Have you tried mud/clay washing? It really helped my limp curls come back to life after lots of product build up. Build up can definitely weigh your curls down! I would give that a try.Mix some apple cider vinegar and bentonite clay and let it sit in your hair for 20 minutes, make sure to get it all out before it hardens and follow up with conditioner!
