I have severe heat damage, should I big chop or transition for a while ?

I should also add that I am in college and where I go to school there isn't and hair stylist near by. So I am left to deal with my hair myself.

You should big chop if you feel comfortable about having short curly hair. Transitioning is a longer process to get your curls back in its natural state. 1. Be patient. 2. Put down all your heat tools. 3. Use protective hairstyles. 4. Deep condition at least once a month or more. 5. Co wash if you want to. There is more information about transitioning on NaturallyCurly.
Good morning priyankaa,I did an article response to your question here: How to Fix Severely Heat Damaged Hair.Best,Amanda
I would BC. It will be much easier since you are in collage and you don't have the time for caring for a transitioning hair. Also, experimenting with your hair will be easier since it will be short.  Good luck!
I would suggest doing the big chop. Just because in my experience of transitioning I ended up cutting my hair anyway... The big chop now saves you time and the stress of transitioning.... Good luck!

In my opinion the big chop would be a lot more useful! I done it and I have so much weight lifted off my shoulders, my hair is much easier to maintain and I love seeing the new growth! I honestly don't regret anything it's an experience I guess! Hope this helps Xx
