Heat damage?! How do to repair it?

I straightened my hair for the first time in 6 months, I used a heat protector and only passed over my strands about twice with the flat iron on about 250 degree heat. 90% of my hair curled back like usual but 10% of it is completely straight, I don't understand why, this has never happened before. What can I do? I don't want to cut it because it's mostly on one side of my head. Is there a chance it will curl up? (Left - normal pattern after straightening, Right - damage after straightening )

hmm, I cant lie to you and say any product will bring it 100% back... I would try protein rich treatments containing coconut oil. It will tighten your hair and bring some elasticity/bounce back. Try a trim too, any good cut can make your curls come back to life!
I hate it when that happens. Honestly, I would just try twist outs for about a week to see if it reacts the same way the rest of your hair does. Instead of going straight into 100% curly after a hard straighten, I usually do a twist out and wet my hair while its straightened so that it can transition (as if I'm going natural for the first time). Hope this helps, I'm a 3c curly person myself!
