Is exceeding hair loss normal with transition/normal washing?

Here's the situation. I started using no sulfate products about a month, month and a half ago. I wash my hair every third day, deep condition, and plop. However, I've been losing WAY more hair in the shower than I did before I started. Like, 30, sometimes 40 strands of hair. It's freaking me out because it doesn't look a lot like breakage... Can someone please help?

It's normal to lose between 50-100 strands of hair per day. If you're only losing 30-40, then I wouldn't worry.

You shouldn't see an onset of excessive hair loss just from switching to a no-poo routine, so you might want to look to other possible causes. There are a few health disorders that can cause hair loss, as well as diet changes. You might have your doctor check for PCOS or thyroid problems.
