Little curls at the ends of my straight hair

Hello everyone, I'm new here.I have a question about my hair that I've been wondering about for quite some time now. I have long, straight hair but ever since a couple of years ago, I've developed little curls at the ends of my hair. It's not for every strand of hair but there are quite a bit of them, especially the under layer near my neck area. I don't know why this is happening. I'm not too bothered by them because my hair still looks straight, but it causes it to look frizzy at the ends. It also makes my hair get tangled more. And as you can see from the picture, the curls are not spirals but more like S's. And I don't know if this has anything to do with it but, I noticed that most of the strands with the curls are all from an area of my scalp that tends to itch (not too much, just from time to time). Also, I tried cutting them out since they're at the ends of my hair, but they ALWAYS come back.Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can/should do to make it go away (aside from straightening it)? It would be much appreciated! Thanks.
