How to take care of natural hair under braids?

I recently got Senegalese twist in my hair for a protective style and I have to keep it in for 2 months. How should I take care of my hair under the braids/twist? Do I oil my saclp? If so how often ? :) Thanks

I just put in Marley twists. Fill up a spray bottle with water, your favorite leave in conditioner or moisturizer, and your favorite oil. You can also add a few drops of essential oils to the mix, I like using tea tree oil. NaturallyCurly just added an article on a leave-in mix where you can get measurements. In the morning spray your scalp and braids with the mix and squeeze the braids so the water soaks through to your hair. At night you can mist a little bit more of the mix and tie up your hair in a scarf. I oil my scalp every night or every other night with a tiny bit of avocado oil because my scalp is naturally dry and I don't really get build up from it. You probably should oil your scalp every 3-4days with a tiny bit of oil but I can't say for sure. If your scalp feels like its getting too oily then do it less often. It really depends on how your hair and scalp feel when you start getting your regimen down. Hope this helps :)
If your scalp getting oil take a handful of your favorite shampoo and add a drop or two of tea tree oil. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
