Coconut oil

I have just started used Virgin organic coconut oil on my hair to hydrate it and restore the curling pattern , but is coconut oil actually beneficial to curly hair??

Coconut oil stimulates hair growth getting deep into its follicles. Coconut oil promotes the scalp health  while moisturising  dry hair. At best coconut oil prevents hair breakage and split ends, helping length retention.
coconut oil is wonderful for your hair, they have coconut oil shampoo and conditioner plus moisturiser . Its natural and also good for your skin , it locks in moisture and give your hair a shiny finish look . If you want good health hair, that is the way to go !! This is what I use .....
oil and water don't mix. applying oil to wet hair will weigh it down and coat it. it is not a styling product. never use products that are heavy, greasy, slimy or oily. you want your product to penetrate your hair not sit on top. hydrate don't lubricate. dry hair will absorb the nutrients of the oil better. it's best to use it as a pre wash and follow with a cleanse and a hydrating treatment. style as you normally would. my blog clarifies this in detail
Not all hair likes coconut! Mine hates it! Anything coconut makes it feel like matted straw! Awful! I don't have complete protein sensitivity though. I can use keratin, silk amino acids and even wheat protein. Still figuring it out but there are other oils besides coconut to try like jojoba, avocado and castor oil. But I would try them as a pre-poo like Shai said. They can be very heavy. Better to start conservatively.  :)
