Why does my scalp hurt when I touch it?

I've had sensitive skin for as long as I can remember. I know I'm allergic to cheap metals and break out if I use certain lotions or soap on my skin. I know my skin includes my scalp. I went natural recently and right now I use Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair (my hair is thick, coarse, and really kinky). I don't know if it's the product or something else but I seem to have some spots on my scalp that is so tender to touch it feels like someone stabed it with a knife (best way I can describe it). Should I switch my hair product or is it something else?

hi! cantu shea butter has silicones in it. have you heard of the curly girl method? theres an article about it on this site. check it out it might help your scalp!
Skin discoloration (i.e. spots) and extreme pain may be symptoms of something else. I recommend consulting a trichologist.
