Dull Roots, Do I Need Moisture or Clarifying?

I have uncovered my natural 2b texture and am pretty happy BUT I find my curls are pretty shiny (not a ton but some) but my roots to ears have barely more than a dull sheen.I am silicone and sulfate free and I shampoo 1/week and cowash as needed. Until last december I washed everyday with sulfates and the whole 9 yards. I was hoping extending my wash days would make my hair shinier because in middle school I barely washed my hair and it was shinyyyyy but I'm not sure it's working. So, do I need to get used to washing once per week still? Or do I need to clarify? I'm a bit scared of clarifying. I'm afraid it will ruin my hard work.

I m thinking it may be dull due to not enough moisturizing, maybe you should try a hot oil treatment, and add castor oil and coconut oil to you hair regime. And don't be scared to clarify! If you have to much product in your hair you get build-up and your stats to weight down. Too much is bad. Too little is bad. Gotta just find balance! Hope this helps!!
