My hair looks awesome until I walk out the door. Why?

When my hair just finishes drying, it's so shiny, soft and curly. But then it slowly loses some curl and moisture, but not like a ton. And then the second I walk out the door it uncurls, looks flat, dry, frizzy and messy. Why? (low pospority, thick wavy-curly hair)

Hannah22,Are you using any styling product on your waves?I would say that you need to use some sort of leave-in after you wash your hair. I recommend Curl Junkie's Smoothing Lotion, a little goes a long way. I would also say use some mousse to really enhance your waves. I love Pantene's Mousse or their whipped curls mousse. This will really help with keeping your waves soft and curly without falling flat. If your hair is still looking frizzy add a little oil or serum. Use about a dime size in your palm, rub your hands together and run it through your waves. Stay away from your scalp to avoid looking greasy. I would also say that you should deep condition once a week to keep your hair moisturized. This will help with dryness. You will be surprised what a once a week treatment can do for your hair. Best of Luck!
