Can you help nurse my hair back to its prime? I have no clue what to do with my hair

So I'm a teenager and I went natural about four-three years ago and I have no clue what my hair is doing, how to take care of it, I'm pretty sure I didn't do the big chop, the relaxed hair just kind of went away. But then my hair grew a lot and I just started straightening it without any chemicals, nothing, but now I think I have heat damage and I have no clue how to repair it, especially since my hair has two very different sections. So the middle part of my hair like all of it up to my hairline, edges and some bits of the back part of my hair, is very curly and I'm not sure if thats my natural "real" hair or not.The thing is the rest of hair is very hard like very coarse I suppose and I don't know what to do. Everyone keeps telling me to cut my hair but I don't see how that is going to make things better, they keep telling me to cut it to the length of my hair in the back because its way shorter. Also my hair doesn't seem to be growing. Can you guys help me? I'm so lost.

I personally thing that you SHOULD cut your hair. It will grow quickly and also be 100% healthy for sure. If you don't cut it the damage will stay there and every time your hair grows it will end up damaged because the ends are damaged. Its like water trickling down a window. Cut it, wash it, and deep condition. I also consider you buying JBCO! This promotes extra fast growth. It will also be really curly and pretty. If you don't like the short style then get braids for a while. But don't be scared of healthy hair.
