Hi! Do I have two different hair textures? Or is the crown area of my head just really damaged?

In the picture I included of the bun (click to see it better), you can see that the top of my hair just isn't like the rest. It is puffy, unmanageable, and so annoying. Then in the other pictures, you can see how the rest of my hair is, sort of a 3B pattern. How do I get the top part to be like the rest? I have been struggling with this for about the past 4 years, and have even recieved a brazillian blowout which sort of helped. My hair does not feel very damaged, so I don't know why it's like that. I also use coconut oil and other safe products but nothing works. I have a youtube video of my hair as well linked in the end. Please help. Thank you! I don't know the history of your hair, so I can't properly say if it's damage or not. It may have been heat damaged by the Brazilian blowout, but it seems like it was the way you described it before you got the blowout. If you asked me, I think that that may just be the texture of your hair. Looking at your video, I definitely have  2 friends with hair like yours, that seem to gain more definition as you go to the sides. My hair seems to be the opposite, the top being less frizzy, but looser and more like a kind of "solid" section.  All that's to say, it seems pretty common that the top portion of the hair may just be a bit different. For more definition, you can try holding gels or you can try to do twist outs, braid outs, bantu knot outs, etc. on the top portion of your hair.
