Hi Cloe,

If after washing and conditioning while your hair is still wet you notice straight, scraggly pieces that don't fit into the rest of your curl pattern...then you have heat damage :-( I've heard once/week protein treatments will help but cutting them off is your best bet.  You can cut a little at a time without doing a "big-chop" while you're "transitioning".

Hello Cloe,

You'll be able to tell if you hair is [heat] damaged by the fact that their will be split ends, your hair will be dry, and (almost) dead looking and/or flat.
