How can I afford my own hair?

I'm finding it harder and harder to afford to keep my natural 3B-ish hair healthy. ( I only say ish because my hairdresser tells me time and time again those hair categories are BS and no two people have the same hair) The four main products I use are the Paul Mitchell Marula Oil Shampoo and Conditioner, Awapuhi Hydrocream Whip, and Briogeo Curl Enhancement Cream. Together they cost a little over $100. My hairdresser does a good job and since going to her my hair has never been more healthy, but I spend $130+ every time I go. I cut my hair every 3-4 months. Also she tends to do whats "good" for my hair, even if it's not what I asked for. I have mixed feelings about it because my hair is very healthy, but not cut exactly how I'd like. I really can't afford to spend this much money on just my hair but I don't want it to start looking like crap again. Are their any good dupes for my products that cost way less and does anyone from the NYC area have salon suggestions that won't cost me an arm and a leg? Thanks so much in advance.
