I had my hair braided and now it is tangled, dry and I have split ends.what product should I use?

I don't know how to treat it. It seems to be shrinking over the years because of using the wrong products. Should I relax it, use  conditioner, or the hair mayonnaise.

Hi Sithembokuhle, I definitely wouldn't relax it, that would just add more damage. And hair mayonnaise may help with shine, but it doesn't work as a reconstructor. The proteins in the mayo are too big to fit in your hair. So don't use that. Instead, I would look for protein treatments that you can use once a month to repair the breakage. We just published the perfect piece to help you: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/curl-pro...On top of that, be sure to deep condition your hair every week to promote softness. That will also help with the dryness. As far as the split ends go, I would just get a good hair cut. There's really no way to repair split ends other than to cut them off. So schedule a trim! To help with tangles, be sure to sleep in a satin bonnet or on a satin pillowcase. Use a detangler before you wash your hair, and use your fingers to gently comb through knots. Be sure to use leave-in conditioners out of the shower to help keep the hair soft and knot-free. Hope this helps!
