I have no idea what to do with my hair

Hi, so my hair's kind of a mess. I had just wavy hair until 3 years ago and since then it's all gone downhill. I have hair ranging from 2b to 3 a depending where you look, it's very dry all around, it's pretty coarse in some areas and very frizzy. The few hairdressers i have seen have given me what Ithink was good advice but none of it has made a difference. I used to straighten my hair maybe once every 3 months but I stopped when I learned it was bad. Right now I use loreal evercurlvsulfate free shamoo that's for hydrating. Just recentally a stylist told me to switch out the matching shampoo for this pro 23 infusium leave in conditioner. I also got this VO5 hot oil therapy stuff but I'm not quite sure if I'm really only supposed to leave it in one minute like it says, that seems a bit short. If there's any sort of thing that could help me I'd greatly appresiate you telling me although it can't be too expensive as my dad doesn't like spending alot of money on this stuff. Oh and if you use and technical terms please explain them because I'm incompetent when it comes to this stuff. Sorry I made such a long post but I'm lost.

Hi! First of all, I would recommend pre-pooing. This means to put a masque in your hair before you shampoo so it can retain moisture. I currently pre-poo with unrefined coconut oil and peppermint essential oil. It is awesome! Also, I've been searing for some products to use on my 2c-3a hair, and so far I like Cantu's Curl Activator Cream. It doesn't have any sulfates, silicones, parabens, mineral oils, etc etc. It gives soft touchable curls. I think all you need is some more protein and moisture! I hope you find what works for you soon :)
Hi again! The recipe that I use for my pre-poo is really simple: for one tablespoon of unrefined coconut oil, add 5 drops of peppermint essential oil. Then, put it in a microwaveable safe bowl and microwave it for 30 seconds. After that, spray your hair with water to dampen it and apply the oil. You can do this for 15 mins before you shampoo or you can do this over night the day before you shampoo, too! You can find these ingredients at a whole foods or target. Also, the Cantu Curl Activator Cream can be found at Walmart. Good luck!! :)
