Do I need to Detox my hair before beginning Devacurl?? I read that a curl specialist will charge

HI SizzlinJen, If you are going to start the CG (curly girl) method, then you need to cleanse your hair with a clarifying shampoo to get all the silicone out of your hair. You definitely don't need a salon to do that for you. You can do it yourself at home. All you need is some clarifying shampoo. A lot of people like Suave Clarifying Shampoo, but here's a solid list of clarifying shampoos. Wash your hair like normal, but be sure to scrub your scalp really well. Then condition your hair with a silicone free conditioner. Then you're all set! If someone is charging 20 bucks for a detox, it's totally overpriced in my opinion. You can buy suave clarifying shampoo at the store for waaaay less than that. ;-)
