What are the best products for my hair? I have spiral curls underneath and it's straight on top.
My hair has always been so straight that it wouldn't hold a curl. A few months ago it started curling, but only half of my hair curls. It's still straight on top and incredibly dry and frizzy! The products I have for straight hair don't work on my curly half and the products I have for curly hair don't work on the straight half. I have no idea how to get it soft and healthy again. Please help I really don't want to have to cut it all off!
Try using a curl enhancing mousse all around. My favorite is Design Essentials curl enhancing mousse. It works wonders for me. If you use this and scrunch out your straight ends you might get more of a curl. Be sure to use it in soaking wet hair. Also, I have no idea why you are growing curls in, but maybe with time your straight hair will curl too. My guess is this change is hormonal. Good luck!
Hair does change as your hormones do, I know my hair has gotten less curly as I've gotten older and other people go the other way. You could try braiding all of your hair when it's wet with some mousse in it and hopefully when you take your hair down your curl pattern will look more uniform. Or, you could just braid the top portion with mousse in it and then it will be more like your bottom curly half.
Okay well there's this hair care kit that comes with organic shampoo and conditioner designed to make hair soft, shiny and healthy especially if you use heat tools or hair dye. It also comes with a deep conditioning hair mask and an argan oil heat protectant that works miracles for frizz. You use it after a shower, it's not oily at all and it's actually real argan oil. The kit is called Pro Naturals argan oil system or something along those lines so look it up on their website or wherever you find it.
