When do use humectants or anti- humectants?

I am confused! I have been reading about when to use humectants and anti-humectants. I came across in google, youtube and found myself even more confused. I read you can use humectants when the dew point is 30-60F (30-40) I guess iffy. Also you can use lots of humectants over 60F. WHAT? I thought you use anti-humectants dewpoints over 60F! So which products do you use, humectant or anti-humectant. Also if any can please list products they use for different dewpoints of winter, spring, or summer whichever. I am frustrated and reasearching for days for products and making me more confused!!!! Help! I have normal to low porosity hair thick, medium density!

If you are in a very dry climate and want to attract moisture to your hair, use a humectant. If you are Ina humid environment and want to block excess moisture (to prevent frizz), uSe an anti-humectant.
